BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – A fist fight broke out between rival politicians at the Turkish National Assembly on Wednesday after a Minister of Parliament lashed out at President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the ongoing war in Syria.
Video footage of the fist fight was captured and released to the public by several channels after the closed parliamentary session.
According to journalist Ali Ornek, what triggered the fight were comments from People’s Republican MP Engin Özkoç, who said: “Are you looking for Satan? You are the Satan cutting deals with the U.S. (for Idlib) You sent our soldiers to die for this.”
Turkey’s incursion in Syria has been met with disapproval by opposition parties, who have repeatedly protested Erdogan’s interference in Syria and called for peace talks with Damascus.
At least it shows they are alive unlike other parliamentarians I can mention. I think they fight quite often in the Turkish parliament. Of course they are divided on Syria and show it.
I went to Gaziantep in 2015 to have a look at the situation and despite the town’s slack airport controls, people seem ashamed about the Syrian situation.
Even though the airport there is lax, it is at Attartuk and Sabiha Gokcen where they do all the checks, and they are stringent. In fact the strict controls at the latter hadn’t began long before. I know because I went via there to Lebanon in 2013 and Sabiha and the controls were few. In 2014 I went to Lebanon via Attarturk and there were strict controls on those flying to Britain, no doubt at Britain’s behest.
My theory is that by 2014, enough Islamists had been allowed into Syria via Gaziantep and Sabiha Gocken Airport. For those who don’t know, it is in the Asian part of Istanbul, while Attaturk is in the European part. By the end of 2014 Turkey was probably told to enforce controls on the number of Islamists entering from Europe.
The crossing is at Killis, where there is a refugee camp, that houses mainly Kurds, I believe. If people crossed over to Syria further East they’d encroach on the Kurdish territory of Anatolia, that the Kurds aspire to control. A territory within which, unlike the North East of Syria, they are not supported by Britain. Also Killis is only about 20 miles from Halab.
From the most North Eastern tip of Syria you can see Northern Iraq and Iran on a clear day. It is possible to wade into Turkey from the furthest corner, but Turkey is too important to Britain to tread on its toes. They were once a huge power akin to the West, remember. Turkey has a different feel to Arabia and I’m sure identifies with the West more that the Muslim world.

We here in the USA and Canada hear and see nothing of what is going on in Syria. The liberal-leftist dominated mainstream media keep us in complete darkness regarding illegal western interference in Syria. It is a war crime caused by Obama and Clinton and they should be in jail over it. They created ISIS/ISIL. ISIS gets aid and support from US DoD and CIA.
